Bullets again

Okay, I didn't get fired. Everyone knew that, right? Turned out that my boss was pissed at the person who complained, NOT at me. She thought he was beig a twit.
Well, good.
So much has been going on, I'm back to bullets.
- I haven't been to Curves. The end of the semester appeared out of nowhere, really. I finished my overtime, bought an iPod with part of the money (woo!), and then immediately swung into dayshift for the week in between semesters. I had to do both my job AND my boss's job, which sucked, but he brought me back a cheesy souvenir from his vacation and I adore him. So.
- J and I finally painted the living room. It's not the electric green that I feared it would be! It's kind of a blend between margarita and key lime pie green. We also painted the trim and bookshelf built into the wall by the fireplace, built three more bookshelves for the back wall of the living room, unpacked the last few boxes of breakables, and washed & sealed the outside deck.
- We did all this because my mom is coming to visit on Thursday and is staying till Saturday.
- Speaking of my mom, her dog (my dog, too) died a couple days ago. She's so sad and upset... he was 15 years old and we'd had him since he was an 8 week old puppy. I feel awful for her, and I'm pissed at Louie because he won't let her get another dog, and she wants one.
- We took our 11 year old cat in to a Cats-Only vet to have her spayed. She's been having problems with UTIs and they think it's related to going into heat. She came out fine and we get to pick her up tomorrow.
- I went to the dentist for the first time in 18 years. I have 3 cavities and some tartar buildup, but all my wisdom teeth are in and perfect. Some gum tenderness but after a cleaning that should clear up. All in all a good visit, and the doc has known J since he was five, so that was fun.
- My boss just popped out of his office and gave me a cheesy grin. For no reason other than to make me laugh. They've been renovating our floor (adding in a coffee shop and some multimedia areas) and we're alone in this cavelike tomb with no floor and half lighting.
Today I have to finish the living room, clean the bedroom and bathrooms, and scrub my kitchen until it gleams. I want my house to be perfect for my mom... this is the first time she'll be visiting my 'nest' since J and I got married. I'll take pictures and post them here so you can see how lovely it is -- I just have to figure out the light settings on the camera. For some reason my green living room looks white, and my purple bedroom looks gray when I take pics.
Next week, I really have to get back on track weightloss-wise. I've not gained anything but I've not lost, either, and I want to feel that dropping-numbers high again.
